Praised by the Washington Post for her “clarion” voice with “a wealth of shades”, French and Canadian soprano Chloé Olivia Moore makes her role debut as Liù in Turandot with both Dayton Opera and Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre in the 2017-18 season. She also sings performances of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with both The Orchestra Now and the Rogue Valley Symphony, and a concert of Viennese favorites with the Ocean City Pops. Last season, Ms. Moore sang her first performances of Nedda in I pagliacci with Dayton Opera, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with Bar Harbor Music Festival, a recital with pianist Hector Acosta in the Festival del Pitic in Hermosillo, Mexico, a concert with Annapolis Opera, and her Kennedy Center debut in the "Art Song Discovery Series" with Vocal Arts DC. 

Other recent performances include her company and role debut with Dayton Opera as Leïla in Les pêcheurs de perles, and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with the Castleton Festival. As a Resident Artist at the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, Chloé performed numerous roles, including Violetta in La Traviata, Manon Massenet’s Manon, Tatyana in Eugene Onegin, Adina in L'elisir d’amore, Mélisande in Pelléas et Mélisande, Antonia in Les contes d’Hoffman, Garcias in Don Quichotte, Zdenka in Arabella, Sorella Infermiera in Suor Angelica, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni and Ms. Brown in the world premiere of The Scarlet Letter. Other recent performances include: Adina in L’elisir d’amore with Opera at Florham; Musetta in La bohème and Violetta in La traviata with Chesapeake Concert Opera; the title role in Manon with New York Lyric Opera; and Antonia in Les contes d’Hoffmann, Giulietta in I Capuleti ed I Montecchi, and Frasquita in Carmen with Crested Butte Music Festival. A former Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Apprentice artist with Central City Opera, where performed Mrs. Gleaton in Susannah. While a member of Arizona Opera’s Marion Roose Pullin Opera Studio, she performed First Lady and covered Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, while also being responsible for Violetta in La traviata, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, and the title role in Susannah.

On the concert stage, Ms. Moore has performed Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Poulenc’s Gloria, Mozart’s Requiem, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Haydn’s Creation with the New Jersey Master Chorale. She also sang Haydn’s Creation with Symphony in C under the baton of Rossen Milanov, Mozart’s Requiem with the Church of the Redeemer Orchestra, and regularly performs as a guest artist with the Ocean City Pops. In 2015 she had the honor of performing the Mahler 4 Symphony with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia under the baton of Dirk Brossé.

Chloé has won top prizes with the George London Foundation (George London Award), Gerda Lissner Foundation (1st Prize), Giulio Gari Foundation (2nd Prize), Czech & Slovak International Voice Competition (2nd Prize), Liederkranz Foundation (3rd Prize, Opera Division), Loren Zachary Vocal Competition (3rd Prize), was recognized by the Crested Butte Music Festival with the Rosalind Jackson Memorial Award and in her native Canada with the Prix Jeune Espoir Lyrique Canadien with Les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques. 

Ms. Moore is originally from Calgary, Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto, a Master of Music from the University of Arizona, and an Artist Diploma from the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. She was a young artist with Arizona Opera’s Marion Roose Pullin Opera Studio, Central City Opera’s Bonfils-Stanton Young Artist Program, and Crested Butte Music Festival’s Marcello Giordani Young Artist Program.
